Domestic pax down in July

Domestic passenger numbers fell by 1.7 per cent during July, according to data from the Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics. Capacity during the month was down by 1.2 per cent, while load factor was static at 80.7 per cent. Aircraft trips decreased by three per cent.

Echidna cancelled

The Commonwealth has announced that it will cancel the major elements of Project Air 5416, the electronic warfare self protection (EWSP) upgrade of Army’s Black Hawk helicopters. The project is based around a preliminary EWSP upgrade and was to be followed by the fitting of the BAE Systems Australia designed ALR-2002 radar warning receiver (RWR).

New delay for RAAF KC-30s
