Cessna has announced a new partnership with Spectrum Aeromed to develop a medical interior and patient loading system for the Citation Mustang very light jet.
“Adapting the Spectrum Aeromed system for the Mustang gives this versatile aircraft one more mission profile,” said Scott Sarver, Cessna manager, special mission sales. “The operating economics of the Mustang, its range and performance, combined with the Spectrum Aeromed interior will make this a popular addition to the medical transport community.”
The system for the Mustang will be developed from the Spectrum 2200 advanced life support system with storage provisions and includes a manual loading system customised for the Mustang. Cessna will complete the fitout work at its Citation Service Centre in Wichita, which is expected to take one week to fit.
The first aeromedical Mustang is expected to be delivered in October to Caribbean based operator Jet Budget.
